As the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Project Management Delivery, you will have the dynamic opportunity to establish a new enterprise project management delivery team within the Project Management (PM) Enterprise Services.

Leveraging your project execution experience, you will be accountable for a team of project and delivery resources that will be assigned to business units to execute on complex business changes.

Reporting to the Enterprise Transformation Office, you will partner with business units to match business needs with project management resources and build a collaborative and positive work environment for your team to thrive.

Your thorough execution experience will enable you to develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise project management strategy aligned with the organization's goals.

How you will create impact :

  • Overseeing the execution of projects, allocating project management resources to different business unit projects, maintaining a strong line of sight into project health, and working with your team to anticipate and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Navigating multiple competing priorities and remaining nimble as priorities and project demands shift, demonstrating your adaptability and resilience.
  • Stewarding the alignment of interests across a diverse array of internal clients and partners.
  • Creating strong business relationships while fostering a collaborative and open communication environment.
  • Developing and implementing an enterprise project management strategy and establishing a feedback loop to optimize project management capabilities.
  • Working with the Enterprise Project Management Office, you will continue to evolve project management across the organization by developing and implementing standardized methodologies, procedures, and processes.

You'll keep things fresh by regularly reviewing and enhancing our methodologies to ensure they are effective and up to date.

  • Ensuring that all project teams understand and embrace project management methodologies through actively participating in organizational project management forums and communities of practice.
  • Providing oversight for the optimal utilization and effective management of project resources.
  • Crafting and executing a robust enterprise project management strategy that is in sync with the organization's goals and objectives.

Regularly assessing the strategy's efficacy and making any essential adaptations.

  • Provide coaching, direction, and feedback to project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading and engaging your project management team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

To join our team :

  • You have 8+ years of progressive Project Management experience. Including experience in developing and implementing PM standardized methodologies, procedures, and processes.
  • You have completed a degree Business, or related field.
  • You hold or are pursuing a Project Management Professional certification.
  • You have extensive project management execution experience, directing large and complex programs across business and technology.
  • You have expertise in project management principles and methodologies, including in-depth applied expertise in complex project execution.
  • You have strong knowledge of key concepts of financial management such as budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • You have a mastery of different project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.
  • You have experience working in the financial services sector and are skilled at navigating regulatory and compliance impacts in project management.
  • You are an experienced people leader, well-skilled in guiding teams to deliver and operate innovatively in an engaged environment.

What you need to know :

  • Detail-oriented work that requires a moderate degree of mental concentration for extended periods of time.
  • You will travel occasionally.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English.

The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
