Purpose
We are looking for a Director, Project Management to join our Calgary, Alberta or Edmonton, Alberta office. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management / project leadership experience in the oil & gas sector, on behalf of an engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale petrochemical EPCM projects ($1Bn+) in cold weather / arctic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Planning & prioritizing project tasks to support the project schedule.
- Identifying and managing project and contractual risks and opportunities.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholders including global integrated delivery (GID) team.
- Reporting of cost, schedule, progress, and performance to senior management.
- Review and analyze alternatives and options to deliver value through the project scope.
- Leading, coaching, and directing multi-disciplined engineering & support teams in all phases of project execution.
- Developing relationships with customers and vendors.
- Maintaining comprehensive project documents and reports.
- Championing safety, well-being, sustainability, and management of change processes.
- Manage capital expenditures and project finances to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This includes forecasting, tracking spending, and managing change orders.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), progress, and earned value.
- Limited travel to site or other locations as required.
