Join our growing Highway Maintenance team and play a key role in the successful delivery of highway maintenance in the General Edmonton Area. Our long-term contracts provide the opportunity for you to establish roots in a local community, build exceptional relationships and lead a diverse team of highway maintenance professionals committed to the challenge of keeping Alberta’s highways safe.
You are an experienced Superintendent who will play a key role in the oversight, delivery and performance of a large and challenging provincial highway maintenance contract in the Edmonton area.
You have 8+ years of experience working with highway maintenance, construction or infrastructure projects. Leveraging your experience and expertise, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of project operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards and contractual performance expectations.
The successful candidate is a strong communicator and people leader with proven experience managing geographically diverse construction or operations teams with a proven ability to plan, communicate, and deliver on identified targets and milestones.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project
- Apply the Project Specific Safety Program to ensure full compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards and applicable OH&S legislation
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to front‑line leaders to achieve contract, schedule, budget, safety, quality, environmental, and client satisfaction objectives
- Oversee daily field operations, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, execution, and performance tracking
- Monitor operational and financial performance through regular review of key metrics and reports; proactively address risks and budget challenges
- Support front‑line leader development through coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage subcontractor compliance and field‑level risk in accordance with company policies
- Develop strong knowledge of contract terms, collective agreements, and act as a resource to operational leaders
- Provide oversight of fleet and asset management
- Support client relations and assist with field‑related negotiations as required
