We're seeking exceptional, experienced Security Professionals for our high-profile Vancouver Public Library site in Downtown. This opportunity promises a professional environment and competitive wages as part of our commitment to a living wage.Top of Form
What you would do:
- Provision of excellence in customer service
- Access control
- Patrolling
- CCTV monitoring
- Communications, including radio, digital and incident escalations
- Incident and activity reporting
- Identifying and reporting safety hazards
- Crime prevention
- Visual deterrence
- Emergency services liaison
- Dealing with severe / escalated situations
- Demonstrate empathy when handling situations involving Vancouver's most vulnerable populations
Job Requirements:
- BC Security License (BST)
- Occupational First Aid Level 1/basic (OFA-basic)
- Occupational First Aid Level 2/intermediate (OFA - intermediate) - preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of security industry experience
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
What you bring:
- Valid BC Security License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable, available, independent nature, of sound character and a team player
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Professional demeanor in stressful situations
