Compensation & Placement Salary is determined by the HavergalFaculty Grid ranging from $72185 $103105 for early-career faculty and$103457 $135699 for those with 6 years of experience. Final placement isbased on recognized teaching years degrees and Additional Qualifications(AQs) with levels increasing for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Specific Accountabilities :
Planning and Preparation of Learning
- Understandhow to use knowledge of student developmental stages and current educationalresearch to make appropriate and thoughtful instructional decisions in a musicclassroom.
- Workcollaboratively with the Upper School Music Department Head to develop anddeliver a consistent aligned andrigorous program of study.
- Developeffective long-range unit and lesson plans that demonstrate the principles ofa teaching for understanding framework and reflect the Ontario Arts curriculumexpectations.
- Demonstratean understanding of assessment principles reflective of current assessmentpractices that are appropriate in the music classroom.
- Modelbest practices for using technology in the classroom to support the curriculumand students developmental stages.
