Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced CAD / PLM Manager to lead and manage our aerospace design data environment. This role is responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (CATIA / ENOVIA) and related PLM systems. The successful candidate will ensure stable daily operations, enforce engineering standards, support design teams, and drive best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Operations

  • Administer, configure, and maintain CATIA and PLM (ENOVIA) systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions while maintaining data integrity and system security.
  • Plan, test, and execute software upgrades, patches, and system migrations.

Standards & Governance

  • Define, implement, and enforce CAD/PLM standards, naming conventions, and revision control processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates, part libraries, and engineering best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace configuration management and change control requirements.

User Support & Enablement

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate with IT and software vendors to resolve system and performance issues.
  • Support digital mock-ups (DMU), configuration management, and downstream data usage (manufacturing, analysis, certification).

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enable secure and efficient data exchange.
  • Evaluate new CAD/PLM capabilities and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive process optimization across the full product lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • CATIA (V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE)
  • ENOVIA
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in CAD / PLM management within aerospace environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CATIA and PLM systems (ENOVIA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace design processes, product lifecycle management, and configuration control.
  • Experience developing CAD standards, libraries, and process documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead system upgrades, migrations, and improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of aerospace regulatory and compliance requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Kawartha Lakes, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Kawartha Lakes,ON.
