Role - Scope of Activities
The Director of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing all information technology (IT) operations within the organization. This role ensures that IT systems, infrastructure, and services effectively support business goals, while maintaining performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee IT policies and procedures to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of the organization's technology environment.
Lead and manage the IT team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance evaluation.
Plan and manage the IT budget, optimizing spending and prioritizing investments that support business growth and innovation.
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data and critical systems.
Ensure the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, including networking, Microsoft 365 suite, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), printing services, and internal productivity tools (e.g., JAMP).
Oversee user support services and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Conduct regular system audits and ensure timely software updates and compliance.
Collaborate with other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
Manage vendor and service provider relationships to secure quality and cost-effective IT products and services.
Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to make strategic recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Delegation
The Associate Director of IT Operations may act on behalf of the Director of IT according to their area of expertise.
The Director of IT identifies one or more successors for each responsibility of the Associate Director to ensure operational continuity.

Candidate Profile
Education & Training
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
7 to 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a management role.
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
Advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Proven ability to drive innovation and implement process improvements.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
