We are seeking an experienced IT Network Specialist to implement and maintain servers, firewalls, switches and storage systems for our new GMP facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that our network infrastructure is scalable, secure and aligned with industry standards while supporting our organizational goals. This hands‑on position includes firewall management, server installations, cable patching, and monitoring VMware‑based cloud infrastructure, along with other network operations tasks. The successful candidate will also manage the day‑to‑day IT operations for the GMP facility, supporting the success of our teams by ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of lab infrastructure.
Note : This position requires full‑time on‑site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Subject‑Matter‑Expert for network infrastructure in the GMP facility, ensuring all systems are designed, implemented and maintained to meet business needs and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain servers, firewalls, switches and storage systems, ensuring optimal functionality, performance and security.
- Manage and maintain all lab IT equipment within the GMP facility, including computers, servers, software, licenses, networks and peripherals. Ensure all systems are operational and well‑maintained to support day‑to‑day operations.
- Monitor and manage VMware‑based cloud infrastructure (vSphere), ensuring the performance, reliability and security of virtualised environments.
- Oversee network performance, security and reliability, making improvements as necessary. Ensure firewalls, routing and switching configurations meet organisational security standards.
- Support the smooth operation of the GMP facility’s IT systems, ensuring efficient lab infrastructure operation. Provide direct technical support to internal teams, troubleshooting and resolving network and IT‑related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes and security protocols. Ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational policies.
