Job descriptionContribute to defining and coordinating the digital development strategy; Collaborate with departments to understand their technological needs and support digital projects; Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization, recommending innovative solutions; Support the deployment of business intelligence and automation tools; Monitor KPIs related to digital initiatives for impact assessment and strategy adjustment. Lead and motivate the IT team, fostering accountability and collaboration; Assess performance and provide feedback for growth; Ensure personnel management policies align with organizational values. Degree in computer science, IT management, digital transformation, or related field; Significant experience managing digital transformation and information systems projects; At least 10 years in a similar role, including 5+ years as an IT or digital manager. Strong project management skills, with focus on timely delivery and budget adherence; Knowledge of modern tech environments : office tools, document and data management, cloud services, CRM, ERP; Proficiency in emerging technologies and information systems; Understanding of networking and server management; Mastery of Microsoft 365; Fluent in French; intermediate English skills for communication with international stakeholders. Strategic vision and decision-making abilities; Inspirational leadership and team motivation; Ability to communicate technical info clearly to non-technical audiences; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Experience in digital transformation and change management; Active awareness of emerging tech and industry trends; Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills. Based primarily at headquarters in Rouyn-Noranda; Occasional travel within Quebec, Canada, and internationally.
Manager- Information Technology and Digital Development
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance and Information Technology, the incumbent is responsible for the strategy, planning, and management of information technology, as well as the deployment of digital initiatives for Groupe Technosub. This role complements existing internal resources overseeing digital projects and technological operations.
SUMMARY
The incumbent will collaborate with teams to align actions, structure initiatives, and support the integration of technologies with the organization's strategic goals. They will ensure system performance, security, and continuous improvement, while maintaining technological governance and enhancing business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Information Technology
- Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with organizational objectives, emphasizing continuity and ongoing improvement;
- Oversee the evolution and performance of technological infrastructure (networks, servers, cybersecurity, cloud computing) in partnership with internal teams and external vendors;
- Enhance cybersecurity practices to protect data and systems from threats;
- Improve data governance to maximize value and manage associated risks;
- Stay informed on technological innovations relevant to organizational needs.
