KPMG's Immigration Law practice is looking for an Immigration Coordinator, to join our Immigration Law group to support daily clerical and administrative activities. The Immigration Coordinator is responsible for preparing and drafting legal arguments in support of various Canadian immigration applications and associated status and entry document applications.
Because of the diversity of clients and documentation this position requires proficiency in English, strong time management and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Moreover, KPMG Law LLP is a national law firm with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal. Our assistants work closely with the lawyers to provide a superior client experience. KPMG Law LLP is affiliated with the professional services firm of KPMG LLP.
What you will do
- Assist with the documentation collection for work permit and permanent residence applications.
- Research the appropriate legal documents required for the application process and prepare instruction document lists accordingly.
- Assist with obtaining legal documents (birth certificates, police clearances, etc.).
- Prepare supporting documents for application packages (letters, application forms, etc.).
- Conduct all work within established time standards.
- Develop an informative communication stream with immigration administrators / lawyers.
- Any duties assigned by the Lawyer / management.
