Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior, hands‑on Mainframe Developer to support a banking client’s Customer Information System (CIS) capabilities on the Hogan core banking platform. The role is delivery‑focused, requiring deep practical experience with Hogan application development and strong expertise in Hogan PEM (Processing Environment Manager) for configuration and runtime control of online and batch processing.

Work Mode - Prefer GTA candidates but will accept remote candidates as well

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance, and support Hogan CIF/CIS components supporting customer and party data.
• Perform hands‑on development in COBOL across batch and online (CICS/IMS) Hogan environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Hogan PEM definitions, including processing environments, execution controls, and runtime behavior for online and batch flows.
• Analyze existing Hogan logic and data structures; implement enhancements and fixes aligned with client requirements.
• Develop and maintain JCL, job streams, and schedules supporting CIF batch processing.
• Perform unit testing, defect resolution, and support system/integration testing activities.
• Diagnose and resolve production and non‑production issues, including abends and performance problems.
• Collaborate closely with client technical teams, business analysts, and QA to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer as needed.

Must Haves

• Mainframe Development: COBOL (batch & online), IMS DC/ IMS DB/DB2, JCL, CICS .
• Data & Processing: Experience with DB2 and/or IMS DB, VSAM concepts.
• Prior experience with generating mainframe IMS / Db2 reports
• Scheduling & Operations: Experience with enterprise schedulers ( CA‑7) and batch operations.

Nice to havHogan Modules Commonly Used in CIF Contexte:

• Hogan Core Banking: Strong experience with Hogan CIS; familiarity with customer data models and processing flows.
• Hogan PEM: Proven, hands‑on expertise with Processing Environment Manager, including environment setup, parameter management, and execution control for Hogan applications.
• Hogan CIF / CIS
• Hogan Deposits (DDA/TDA) – customer linkage
• Hogan Umbrella
• Hogan RPM (Relationship Pricing) – customer relationships
• Supporting batch and online PEM‑controlled components

Delivery & Collaboration Expectations

• Operate as a hands‑on senior developer.
• Provide technical guidance to peers when needed, without formal people‑management responsibility.

Experience Level

• 7+ years of mainframe development experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Hogan core banking, including CIF/CIS.
• Demonstrated senior‑level capability in complex Hogan environments.
