About the Company
Our partnered client, a well-established & growing construction and industrial services company based near Welland Ontario is currently seeking an HR Generalist. Our team is known for its hands-on, hard-working culture and commitment to safety, compliance, and community values. As business grows, they are seeking an HR presence to manage all aspects of HR. This will include recruitment strategies for seasonal workforce and someone with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.
Reporting directly to the Director, this is a key role would be ideal for a mature, self-directed professional who brings a strong sense of ownership and thrives in an autonomous, rural setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle HR functions, including onboarding, policy enforcement, and compliance
- Lead seasonal recruitment efforts (March–May), with a specific focus on labourer roles
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Administer H&S policies and programs; lead WSIB excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with third-party legal for union matters as they arise
- Support and enhance onboarding software and dispatch systems
- Maintain accurate HR records and compliance documentation
- Ability to plan employee based team events
