Description

We are seeking a proactive Ground Transportation Liaison to join our team at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. In this role, you will ensure smooth ground transportation operations by engaging with guests, monitoring vehicle availability, and enforcing airport standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with Official Languages protocol (“Hello/Bonjour”) and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Engage guests at the kiosk, guiding them to suitable ground transportation options using scripted dialogue.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, predict demand, and efficiently dispatch fleet vehicles using hardware and software systems.
  • Collaborate with the Airport Operations Center to manage commercial vehicle shortages.
  • Lead and support Curb Ambassadors, ensuring compliance with airport standards.
  • Enforce regulations by monitoring unauthorized vehicles and inspecting authorized commercial vehicles.
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance on parking products and commercial operations.
  • Conduct audits of authorized vehicles, assign electronic transponders, and report unauthorized vehicles promptly.
  • Operate specialized vehicles to conduct parking inventories and monitor facilities for compliance.
  • Respond to operational issues with parking equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Respond promptly to dispatches from the Airport Operations Center (AOC) to address issues with parking equipment, including releasing paper/card jams, replenishing ticket stock, troubleshooting and reporting malfunctions, and conducting user testing as required
  • Execute procedures for managing full parking lots effectively.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in customer service preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse guests.
  • Proficiency in using hardware and software for vehicle monitoring and dispatching.
  • Operate commercial vehicles requiring normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
  • Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environments and make sound decisions.
  • Understanding of official languages protocol and commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The job is primarily based in an airport setting, involving frequent outdoor work on the commercial curb and parking areas. This environment can be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
