Intent of the process

Our immediate need is to fill two (2) positions on an indeterminate (permanent) basis.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions in various locations with various employment tenures, language profiles, security requirements and conditions of employment.

EDUCATION :

EDU1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.

Note :

When education is required, candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience

EXPERIENCE :

EDUCATION :

AEDU1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution specialized in teaching English or French as a second language.

EXPERIENCE :

AEX1. Experience in teaching a second language to adults.

AEX2. Experience in assessment and intervention with learners who are likely to present or who present learning difficulties including learning disabilities.

AEX3. Experience in developing and implementing a training program.

AEX4. Experience in distance teaching.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS :

As a result of workforce adjustment, affected indeterminate DND employees within the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE - UIC 2671) at 4 Wing Cold Lake or within the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS UIC 7777) at Canadian Forces Base Suffield will be appointed or deployed to positions for which they are qualified ahead of other candidates.
