Job descriptionNight Shift : $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 12 am - 7 : 30 pm) Back Shift : $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 5 pm - 1 am) Location : Halifax, NS Job Type : Full-time | Long-Term Contract Additional Overtime Opportunities Available Living Out Allowance : $135 / day worked Weekly Travel Allowance : $220 (for those 80 km away from location) One-time Travel Pay : $600 Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints and established procedures. Perform precise measurements, cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of components. Read and interpret technical drawings and layouts with ease. Install various interior structures, including hatches, doors, and bulkheads. Operate an array of tools and equipment for pipe assembly and welding. Work with diverse pipe materials, such as carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel. Must be eligible to work in Canada and have resided in Canada for at least 5 years. Hold a valid Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket. Certifications in Confined Space and Fall Protection. WHMIS certification is required. Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance, background, and credit checks. Must provide full PPE and a fit-tested respirator mask. Physically capable of handling, lifting, carrying, and setting up parts and equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more. Daily commute to work is necessary.
