Job description

Matrix is urgently hiring local labourers for a long term project in Halifax, NS. Overtime may be offered each week.

Key Responsibilities :

  • General cleaning of shops, facility, on projects and anywhere else needed.
  • Help with setting up for specified work on a vessel or in the shop.
  • Preparing and applying coating.
  • Helping with care and preservation, performing fire watch and confined watch duties.
  • Assisting in docking and undocking vessels.
  • Surface preparation & Coating (i.e. Solvent Cleaning, Hand Tool Cleaning, Power Tool Cleaning, and Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal).
  • Assisting others wherever assistance is needed.

Requirements :

  • You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job.
  • A pre-employment Government Security Clearance / background check will need to be completed.
