Job Description

Bayshore’s Medical Personnel division is looking to speak with Psychologists about an exciting proposal opportunity in Springhill, Nova Scotia.

This is a long term unique and flexible opportunity to conduct psychological risk assessment services with an interesting patient population, all while taking gender, cultural, religious, and linguistic differences into account.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conduct assessment interviews.
  • Administer psychological tests.
  • Interpret test results.
  • Review patient files.
  • Make recommendations for future medical needs related to psychology.
  • Prepare psychological risk assessment reports following the specific format required by the organization.
  • Collaborate with a larger interdisciplinary health services team (including but not limited to nursing, social work, and occupational therapy).
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Job Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must :

Candidates must :

  • Hold a current license with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in either forensic or counselling psychology in the past five (5) years
  • Have completed a minimum of five (5) psychological risk assessments in the last five (5) years.
  • Be able to complete psychological assessments in both English and French
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status federal government security clearance.
