This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure goods are purchased at the best value while meeting quality, delivery, and operational requirements. • Assist with researching and evaluating opportunities to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and work towards a continuous improvement strategy.
  • Support in negotiating improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings by following best procurement practices, tools, and methods.
  • Assist with evaluating suppliers and managing performance improvement activities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrating sound business judgement, accountability, and integrity in all procurement activities.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by streamlining purchasing processes, improving supplier performance, and increasing operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • University or Technical school degree in commerce, supply chain, or other relevant discipline preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers.
  • Product knowledge of categories such as industrial MRO, construction, electrical, and lubricants is an asset.
  • Proficiency with ERP, Business Central or Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Professional approach to vendor and customer relationship management.
  • Project management knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional written/verbal communication skills.

  • Opportunities to grow through meaningful responsibility
  • A team that values partnership with customers and each other.

Our Values

  • See the Field-I see the play and connect the dots, considering both external and internal operational impacts to create the best solution. I don’t just deliver; I anticipate.
  • Own Your Shirt-I am accountable for the commitments I make to customers, stakeholders, and each other.
  • Implement-I get what needs to be done, done correctly.
  • Partner Thinking-I work to become an extension of our customers’ operations.
  • Adaptability-I will change—even when it’s uncomfortable—so we can adapt positively.
