Job description

R90282 Medical Education Manager (Mississauga, Ontario, Ontario)

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

As a Medical Education Manager, you will be the driving force behind Smith+Nephew’s Advanced Wound Management medical education strategy in Canada. Working with healthcare professionals, clinical faculty, and internal commercial teams, you will design, deliver, and evaluate education programmes that build clinical confidence and improve patient outcomes in wound care.

Location: Mississauga Ontario, office based 3 days per week

What will you be doing?

• Design and deliver medical education programmes for HCPs across Canada, spanning NPWT, advanced wound dressings, and debridement
• Identify and engage clinical faculty and KOLs to support peer-to-peer education, managing HCP contracting through established compliance processes
• Localise global content for the Canadian market, reflecting local clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and bilingual considerations
• Plan and execute national events, symposia, and simulation-based workshops, including faculty logistics and post-event evaluation
• Build relationships with professional societies, nursing associations, and wound care specialist groups across Canada
• Track programme effectiveness using Return on Education metrics and maintain accurate CRM records
• Ensure all educational activities meet compliance standards within applicable grants frameworks
• Partner with the Canadian commercial team to align education activity with strategic priorities, maintaining clear separation between medical education and promotion
• Represent Smith+Nephew at national wound care conferences and congresses

What will you need to be successful?

• Clinical background in wound care or allied health, OR a life sciences degree with 5+ years of medical education or medtech experience
• Proven experience designing and delivering HCP education programmes, ideally within wound management or a related therapeutic area
• Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, including wound care associations such as CAWC and NSWOC
• Experience managing clinical faculty relationships with an understanding of FMV and HCP compliance requirements
• Strong project management skills across multiple simultaneous programmes, vendors, and budgets
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French is an advantage
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office

Travel Requirements: 60% national travel for events and conferences

You. Unlimited.
