Business Development Executive (BDE) The Business Development Executive at Kalkomey is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to expand market presence in outdoor safety across Canada and the United States. The BDE position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue goals, strengthen client relationships, and enhance the company’s competitive positioning. We are looking for a key contributor who is driven to play a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory and ensuring sustained success in the marketplace by driving partnerships that extend, enhance, and increase our education and certification business. What you will do : Lead Generation and Prospecting Identify potential business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions. Strategic Planning Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence. Proposal Development Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to secure new business opportunities. Market Analysis Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities for growth. Collaboration Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align strategies and deliver cohesive client solutions. Negotiation and Contracting Lead negotiations and manage contracts with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Performance Tracking Monitor and report on key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts. Event Participation Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually refine business development strategies. What you will need : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role (preferably with 5-10 years of experience) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market opportunities and make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics software. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented. Willingness for up to 25% of travel some months of the year.
