Our client in Burnaby is looking for a senior Trainer to support a high-priority Budget Management Transformation Project on a 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large-scale organizational change initiative where you will play a key part in improving financial literacy and stewardship across a diverse public sector organization. If you are a self-directed professional who can design polished instructional materials and facilitate engaging sessions for various audience levels, our client wants your expertise to help drive this time-sensitive rollout to success.

Advantages
• You will work on a high-visibility project that directly impacts organizational financial literacy and forecasting capability.
• The role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to manage your own design and delivery tasks with minimal oversight.
• You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts across Finance, Change Management, and Operations.
• The position provides the chance to apply adult learning principles to complex, real-world financial and system training.
• You will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced public sector environment during a major cultural transformation.

Responsibilities
• Facilitate live virtual and in-person training sessions for budget managers and operational leaders.
• Design modular training materials including facilitation guides, slide decks, and learner workbooks.
• Develop hands-on scenario-based exercises for the Cashflow and Financial Forecasting system.
• Create new instructional content independently to meet emerging needs during the training surge.
• Produce e-learning modules and job aids that align with established learning architecture and standards.
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure all training content is accurate and reflects current processes.
• Collect and analyze participant feedback to recommend immediate refinements to delivery approaches.

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in instructional design and facilitation within complex or public sector environments.
• A university degree in Education, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field combined with an Adult Education certification.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial or system-based content into accessible and engaging learning materials.
• Strong proficiency in using Articulate 360 for the development of e-learning modules.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale organizational change or system rollouts under tight timelines.

Summary
This is an excellent chance to showcase your skills as a senior practitioner in a role that balances creative design with active facilitation.
