Job description

Temporary Parks Labourer III (Seasonal)

The City of Martensville has one (1) opening for temporary full-time Seasonal Labourer III's.

The work term will be April 13 to October 16, 2026.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain parks, playgrounds, and greenspaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal
  • Perform tasks such as seeding, watering, weeding, and pruning
  • Clean public spaces and perform minor repairs and maintenance
  • Safely operate lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers and other small equipment
  • Assist with pest control efforts
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must:
    • Be available for full-time work throughout the seasonal work period.
    • Be safety conscious and demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to their own personal safety as well as that of their co-workers and the public.
    • Be able to perform physically strenuous work and to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
    • Have their Grade 12 or GED and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Experience in equipment operation, parks maintenance, general labour, or construction is preferred.
  • Municipal work experience is considered an asset.
  • Applicants are subject to a criminal record check.

RATE OF PAY:

  • As per CUPE local Agreement
