Job description

Title: Operations Specialist
Location: Onsite 5 days a week in toronto , ON

Introduction

The Operational Support III provides day-to-day operational support within a high-volume, regulated financial services environment. The role is responsible for payment processing support, invoice validation, control monitoring, issue resolution, and reporting activities while ensuring accuracy, adherence to policies and procedures, and delivery against service level expectations. The position supports internal business partners, outsourced vault activity, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote operational excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in banking back office or financial operations
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in transaction processing
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the AS400 system
  • Experience with cash, payments, or vault-related operations
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site operations is an asset

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational processing including data entry, validation, verification, and reconciliation
  • Monitor and validate AS400 banknote invoices in line with standard procedures
  • Review daily control reports and verify manual accounting entries
  • Repair, verify/authorize, and release electronic and manual payments
  • Monitor payment queues to ensure timely processing and end of day clearance
  • Investigate and resolve outstanding items, payment exceptions, and operational issues
  • Complete assigned online operational support cases within required timelines
  • Liaise with banknote advisory desk, operations, and internal business partners
  • Prepare monthly statistics, capacity, and performance reports
  • Maintain accurate logs, trackers, and records per retention policies
  • Prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and service level expectations
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
  • Support outsourced vault operations in Toronto
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned
