Pharmacy Assistant – Orange Health Pharmacy (Sutton Location)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Pharmacy Assistant to join our Sutton team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in prescription workflow, compliance packaging, and collaborative patient care support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and data entry
- Manage prescription preparation, labeling, and workflow coordination
- Support compliance packaging (e.g., blister packs/Dispill systems)
- Coordinate and maintain medication synchronization and batch processing workflows
- Assist in servicing institutional and community-based care programs (e.g., long-term care and assisted living medication management)
- Handle incoming calls, patient inquiries, and front-store support
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality compliance
- Inventory management, ordering, and stock organization
Required Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software
- Minimum 1–2 years experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in Canada
- Strong understanding of prescription workflow and pharmacy operations
- Experience with high-volume prescription environments
- Familiarity with medication compliance packaging and cycle dispensing
- Experience supporting structured medication programs for residential or care-based settings (preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team
Preferred Assets:
- Experience working in integrated clinic-pharmacy environments
- Knowledge of Ontario pharmacy regulations and OCP standards
- Experience with delivery coordination and medication logistics
- Multitasking ability in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
