Job Title: Data Entry SpecialistJob DescriptionThis role combines high-volume, highly accurate data entry with light warehouse-style material handling in a records storage environment. You will work primarily at a computer station, pulling individual medical files from storage boxes, identifying key data fields, and entering that information into a database with exceptional speed and precision. The position requires regular lifting and carrying of cartons between pallets and workstations, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve individual medical files from storage boxes and review each file to identify all required data fields.
- Enter data from medical files into the database with a consistent high frequency of keystrokes and strict attention to detail.
- Carry storage cartons weighing between 30 and 50 pounds from pallets to the workstation and back, typically one box every 5–7 minutes, for distances of up to 15–20 feet.
- Lift and lower cartons weighing between 30 and 50 pounds from pallet height to workstation height and vice versa, with lift heights ranging from approximately 13 inches to 45 inches.
- Handle one storage box at a time, removing individual files, completing data entry, and returning files neatly to the box once all records are processed.
- Ensure boxes are stacked and stored safely, following the guideline of a maximum of five boxes per pallet.
- Maintain a seated working position for approximately 95% of the shift, transitioning to standing and walking only when moving cartons (approximately 5% of the time).
- Meet or exceed performance expectations measured by the number of keystrokes and accuracy levels.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required protective footwear and adherence to proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a presentable and appropriate appearance that aligns with the professional working environment.
- Perform repetitive tasks efficiently while sustaining focus and accuracy throughout the shift.
Essential Skills- Demonstrated ability to type quickly and accurately, supporting a keystroke rate of approximately 10,000 keystrokes per hour with 100% accuracy verified through double-key checks.
- Strong data entry skills with experience handling clerical and data-related tasks.
- Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining concentration and high-quality output.
- Capability to lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds, including frequent lifting and carrying of 30–50 pound boxes every 5–7 minutes.
- Comfort working in a structured environment where performance is measured by keystroke volume and accuracy.
- Ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 . to 3:30 ., including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
- Reliability and punctuality to support a full-time, five-day workweek.
- Willingness to wear protective footwear that meets ASTM F2413-11 safety toe standards with a slip-resistant rating of “Better or Best.”
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience in data entry or clerical roles.
- Experience working in a warehouse, records storage, or similar environment involving file handling and box movement.
- Familiarity with handling medical files or other sensitive documents in a careful and organized manner.
- Comfort working with performance metrics such as keystroke counts and accuracy rates.
- Ability to adapt to workload variations, including periods where lifting requirements may change depending on the shipment volume.

Work Environment

Protective footwear is mandatory and must meet ASTM F2413-11 safety toe standards with a slip-resistant rating of “Better or Best.” Attire must be presentable and appropriate for a professional warehouse-office hybrid environment, balancing safety with a neat, professional appearance.
