Job descriptionBuild custom Workday Extend apps using orchestration, PMD scripting, and UI components. Prototype and present solutions to stakeholders. Construct WQL or orchestration endpoints. Develop custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields. Partner with Finance, HCM, and PSA teams to deliver actionable insights. Analyze business requirements and propose technical solutions aligned with broader systems architecture. Identify downstream impacts, performance risks, and security considerations. Partner with functional leads and end users to understand needs, validate ideas, and deliver value. Drive technical standards and advocate for best practices. Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment activities. Demonstrate BDO's core values : Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration. Understand client industry, challenges, and opportunities; be described as positive and professional. Recommend effective service delivery to clients. Contribute to an inclusive and engaging work environment. Adopt digital tools to drive innovation. Grow expertise through learning and professional development. 5+ years of hands‑on Workday development experience (Studio, Extend, EIB, Core Connectors, Business Process). Strong experience with REST / SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, XSLT. Experience in multiple Workday modules—ideally HCM, Finance, and / or PSA. Skilled in Workday reporting and calculated field development. Proven ability to work independently and handle ambiguity. Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences. Your Opportunity
We are hiring a Senior Workday Application Developer who can own the technical build of Workday solutions from start to finish. The role requires a strong developer capable of designing and building integrations, extending applications, and creating custom reports, while thinking systemically, asking the right questions and proposing scalable solutions.
We’re looking for someone who can challenge assumptions, think critically and bring ideas to the table.
Responsibilities
Build & Maintain Integrations
- Design and develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors.
- Configure and optimize REST and SOAP APIs for secure and scalable data flows.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and lead root‑cause analysis.
- Configure data transformation primarily using XSLT or other technology.
- Configure business processes related to integrations.
