Job description

Tasks

  • Design and model equipment and tooling in 3D for manufacturing.
  • Produce all required technical drawings for the workshop.
  • Develop welded assemblies and formed components (bending, rolling).
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure feasibility and efficiency of concepts.
  • Participate in testing, adjustments, and improvements throughout each project.
  • Coordinate certain aspects related to purchasing, subcontracting, and project progress tracking.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software, particularly SolidWorks and CATIA.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and workshop realities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of welding standards and practices (an asset).
