Job description

Tasks

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts according to client specifications and internal standards.
  • Read, understand, and apply information contained in technical drawings: dimensions, tolerances, notes, views, material lists, and product types (pipes, plates, sheets, etc.).
  • Verify weld compliance and determine required actions: accept, reject, or request rework.
  • Produce and complete quality documentation, including inspection reports, certificates of conformity, and welding reports as required.
  • Use advanced metrology equipment, including coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and measuring arms.
  • Interpret and apply geometric tolerances (GD&T).
  • Ensure instruments are valid, calibrated, and properly tracked, and maintain associated records.
  • Support production teams by clarifying quality requirements to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Perform any other related tasks as needed.

Job requirements

  • DEP in Welding or Machining, DEC in Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant training (combination of education and experience accepted).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply geometric tolerance principles.
  • Good knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including machining and welding.
  • Attention to detail, rigor, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
