Position Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Software Development to lead the evolution of Bentley’s Civil Engineering software portfolio. In this role, you will manage a globally distributed team of developers and oversee day‑to‑day operations, driving technical excellence, organizational transformation, and strategic impact. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement processes, guide engineering investment decisions, and deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead and Inspire

• Manage, mentor, and develop a global software engineering team.

• Use data, telemetry, customer feedback, and engineering insight to:

Collaborate Across Functions

• Partner with Product Management, UX, Quality Engineering, and leadership to align on product strategy and delivery goals.
• Support cross‑functional coordination to ensure the success of major initiatives.

• Recruit, coach, and develop high‑performing engineering talent.
• Encourage continuous learning, skill development, and technical growth within the team.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience with 3+ years of technical experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing globally distributed software teams with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership skills.
• High intellectual curiosity and adaptability to evolving tools, technologies, and industry trends.
• A coaching‑oriented mindset with a passion for team and individual development.

Diriger et inspirer

• Gérer, encadrer et développer une équipe mondiale d’ingénieurs logiciels.
• Favoriser une culture d’innovation, de responsabilisation et de collaboration.
• Assurer la livraison de services cloud hautement disponibles, évolutifs et performants.

Piloter la transformation

• Promouvoir la transition vers un modèle organisationnel d’équipes autonomes (« Empowered Teams »).
• Encourager l’adoption de pratiques, outils et flux de travail modernes afin d’améliorer la productivité et la qualité.

Assurer l’excellence des livraisons

• Garantir des standards élevés en matière de qualité du code, de maintenabilité, de tests et de stabilité globale des produits.
• Superviser la préparation des mises en production, la gestion des anomalies et l’amélioration continue des processus d’ingénierie.

Prise de décision stratégique

• Exploiter les données, la télémétrie, les retours clients et les analyses techniques pour :
  • Orienter les stratégies produit
  • Prioriser les investissements en ingénierie
  • Optimiser l’efficacité du développement et la concentration des équipes

Collaboration transverse

• Collaborer avec la gestion de produit, l’UX, l’ingénierie qualité et la direction afin d’aligner stratégie produit et objectifs de livraison.
• Soutenir la coordination interfonctionnelle pour garantir le succès des initiatives majeures.

Développer les talents

• Recruter, coacher et faire évoluer des talents d’ingénierie performants.
• Encourager l’apprentissage continu, le développement des compétences et la progression technique au sein de l’équipe.

Qualifications

Exigences

• Licence ou Master en informatique, en ingénierie, ou expérience équivalente, avec au moins 3 ans d’expérience technique.
• Expérience avérée en management d’équipes logicielles distribuées à l’international, avec au moins 2 ans d’expérience.
• Excellentes compétences en communication, pensée stratégique et leadership collaboratif.
• Grande curiosité intellectuelle et capacité d’adaptation aux évolutions des outils, technologies et tendances du secteur.
• Approche orientée coaching, avec une passion pour le développement des équipes et des individus.
