We are seeking a passionate junior / intermediate engineer that will lead innovation in the design and implementation of industrial electrical systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with diverse teams to develop cutting-edge designs, support capital projects, and ensure adherence to industry standards. What you’ll accomplish :
With the support of the Senior Electrical Engineer, this position is responsible for the following :
- Act as Orano Canada’s lead authority regarding the electrical discipline
- Develop and implement effective electrical design standards
- Select appropriate electrical devices, and prepare required specifications and data sheets
- Develop engineering deliverables such as, load lists, cables schedules, panel drawings, single line diagrams, junction box wiring diagrams
- Prepare and support the creation of procurement packages such as, construction and engineering scopes of work, and equipment packages, including supporting clarification responses and technical bid evaluations
- Ensure electrical designs meet technical specifications, adherence to industry and internal standards, and required regulatory and QA / QC requirements are met
- Check the design work of others and provide technical feedback
- Provide electrical technical support to other Orano Canada departments, such as Mill Engineering, Mill Maintenace and Mining, as required
- Collaborate with other disciplines, experts and Orano groups to conduct trade-off studies and make recommendations on the preferred option with regard to feasibility, operating and capital costs
