Cabinet Expressions is a locally owned and full service cabinet manufacturer for both Commercial and Residential locations, featuring top quality cabinetry, all with a strong emphasis on great design. Cabinet Expressions has always understood the enormous impact that a well designed living space or office can have on your day to day quality of living as well as on the value of your home or business. The majority of our business is referral based, and we believe this is attributable to both our original designs and to the level of personal attention given to every client.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Millwork Engineer to join our growing team. Our Millwork Engineers are responsible for designing and preparing technical drawings that are used in our manufacturing processes using Cabinet Vision and AutoCAD software. The Millwork Engineers work closely with the Design and Automation teams to produce sketches, models and blueprints needed to bring products to life. This position is responsible for reviewing custom requests, ordering raw materials needed, and nesting each project.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job is a full-time position, with the hours of 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm Monday through Friday. The hours of work are flexible. A full-benefits package will be provided following a successful probationary period. The annual salary for this position will be $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience and education levels. This position will include on the job training.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review customer files and requests.
  • Coordinate with Purchaser to order required raw materials for each project.
  • Nest projects for each client.
  • Complete shop drawings as needed.
  • Work closely with the Design and Automation teams.
  • Maintain good communication with shop staff.
  • Troubleshoot miscuts and other errors.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and requirements as assigned.

PREFERRED / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in drafting, design or a similar field.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience working with Cabinet Vision, Kitchen 20 / 20, AutoCad or similar applications.
  • Work cohesively and collaboratively with others, as well as independently.
  • Experience with Wood Products, Architectural Millwork, Cabinetry, Kitchen & Bath, etc.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Must have strong communication and written skills.
