Salary : Position Summary :
The incumbent will be responsible for the development and delivery of specific training needs for the agency by designing, organizing, scheduling and directing a wide range of training activities for the organization.
Some Duties include :
Will work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Specialist to identify training needs which support SBCFS objectives.
In collaboration with the Quality Assurance Specialist, will develop a work plan conducive to the identified needs of the agency.
Manage training schedules, venues, and equipment.
Design and redesign learning content, conducting pilots and revisions based on changes to business needs, processes or
procedures.
Review, evaluate and update existing training programs based on feedback and required changes.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends in all learning and development delivery formats (classroom, virtual, eLearning)
Complete and provide monthly training reports to Quality Assurance Specialist.
Complete monthly training calendars and distribute to staff agency wide accordingly.
Will assist Quality Assurance Specialist in training budget, tracking in house training budget and expenses related to training.
Qualifications :
B.S.W., B.A., or Child & Family Services Diploma and / or equivalent combination of education and training / experience in a
related field of service.
Minimum of two-years of experience working in a child welfare setting and / or a related field of study.
Experience in providing and leading training or educational sessions, including being comfortable presenting to large groups.
Must have a valid Manitoba Drivers Licence, access to a vehicle and willing to travel. Will provide a current Drivers Abstract.
Must pass Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
Ability to speak and / or understand the Ojibway language would be an asset.
Knowledge and respect of First Nations traditional culture and traditional philosophy.
