Job description

Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a full-time Automotive Technician at their Co-op Service Centre in Neerlandia, AB.

Due to the busy schedule at the Neerlandia Co-op Service Center we are looking to grow our team and add another Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician is responsible for repairs and preventive automotive maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of light to medium duty vehicles.
Communicating to advisor about the status of vehicles to keep customers informed.
Using computerized testing equipment, conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.

Accountability

Automotive Technician will report directly to the Service Centre Manager
To align objectives with Neerlandia Co-op shared values, purpose, and vision

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Valid high school diploma or equivalent
Apprentice or Ticket/Red Seal Certification
Preference will be given to 3rd/4th-year apprentice or Journeyman

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
High level of energy with strong customer service skills
Ability to handle transactions accurately and be responsible
