Educator Jobs in Laval, QC

As a daycare educator, you support the development and fulfillment of young children. You will assist the educators in setting up stimulating activities, ensure a safe and caring environment, and promote positive social interactions. Your commitment is essential for the well-being and development of young children.

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Work hours: Opening hours of the Garderie LaSalle des petits: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Status: On-Call - Temporary

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support educators in the implementation of programs aimed at the overall development of children;
• Facilitate various activities;
• Prepare and serve snacks;
• Set up rooms and furniture for lunch and naps;
• Help children develop good eating, toileting and dressing habits;
• Ensure the maintenance of daycare equipment and participate in household chores and cooking food;
• Discuss children's progress and challenges with other staff;
• May assist educators and supervisors with record keeping;
• All other related tasks related to early childhood.

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, and a third language, an asset: Portuguese, Mandarin or Spanish;
• Flexibility in terms of schedules;
• Interest in working with children.

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
