Job description
Director Program Management, Global
- Directly responsible for all the NA Program Managers and dotted line responsibility for Chinese Program Managers
- Lead and manage all the day-to-day global program management activities, cradle to grave including new business quoting, new program kick off, new program launching, production program maintenance, program EOP, etc.
- Lead all the global program management gate review process including quote approval
- Interface with all the external / internal customers & suppliers, and cross functional team to manage program timing, budget and open issues
- Participate in strategic discussions including M&A, investment plan, etc.
- Must have the sense of when, how and who to escalate the hot issues in the program
- He or she will be the go-to person to bring Senior Management up to speed for all the details in all the different programs at different stages
- Preferred to be located in GTA. or Windsor
- Must have program management experience in automotive industry for at least 10 years
- Must have highly developed coordination and negotiation skillset
- Highly prefer to have global program management experience in a global organization
- Must have good relationship with any OEM or Tier 1 supplier team members including purchasing, engineering, or supplier quality.
- Must have customer management experience (knows how to handle difficult conversations)
- Must have hands on shop floor manufacturing experience
- Must have people management experience, preferred to have 5 years+
