Director of Product Management

Sage Recruiting is looking for a Director of Product Management to join a Venture-backed software security company based in the USA and Canada (remote). They’re listed on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Canada and were recently acquired by a growth equity firm, so they now have access to a 4.5 billion dollar (USD) fund for growth! Our client specializes in developing a cutting-edge platform for secure visitor management with the goal of helping global organizations enhance guest and visitor experiences beyond the confines of the office while ensuring the safety and security of facilities, workers and guests. As a Director of Product Management, you will report to the SVP Product & Engineering so there are further growth opportunities in this role. Your role will consist of leading a team of product managers and focusing on the product roadmap. You will bring your technical expertise and experience to the team in order to develop exciting new product ideas, managing them throughout the full product lifecycle all the way to delivery. • Determine, present, organize and execute the organization’s strategy and roadmap
• Build, support and manage an outstanding Product Management team to deliver exciting products and services
• Effectively collaborate with other teams and interact with customers
• Be a spearhead for a data-driven test-and-learn approach to execution as well as design thinking
• Work with the SVP of Product and Engineering to construct a decision-making system in line with the company’s vision to make “build, buy, partner” decisions and assess new product opportunities
• Identify and understand the needs of the current customer base as well as future potential opportunities by promoting customer engagement
• Manage and assess customer and product research, and modify product strategy based on changing needs and competitive environment
• Promote customer and product advocacy to represent the marketplace and the stakeholders
• Provide detailed information about product releases, priorities, and vision towards customers, prospects, and partners

What we are looking for

• 7+ years’ experience in software product management
• At least 2+ years’ managerial experience (ideally leading Product Managers)
• Experience in enterprise SaaS product and service delivery (at scale)
• Experience being a partner with technical and business leaders across organizations
• Strong communicator and presenter with the skill to influence individuals at all levels and in different functions
• Passion for technology and upcoming trends that could influence the current and future business
• Great team builder and team players with the ability to bring together varied views
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage ambiguity and lead in a constantly evolving environment while managing different priorities
• Effective communication skills for technical and business personnel
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or any closely related field is preferred; MBA is encouraged
• Experience working in startups and involvement in the transformation of scaling the business is preferred
• Experience working in physical security, compliance, risks, or similar fields is a plus
