PURPOSE:The individual repairs internal and returned products, and performs various manufacturing support functions.
Scope of Position
The electronic repair specialist troubleshoots and corrects production non-conformities, maintains production equipment, repairs internal and returned products, ensures production processes are performing as expected and contributes to various continuous improvement activities. This position has no direct reports and is a backfill for a role that was filled internally.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Works effectively with Manufacturing & Engineering to find the root cause of product failures and implement corrective actions
Follows maintenance schedules on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoots and reworks non-conforming product from the manufacturing processes
Troubleshoots and reworks external product failures
Documents manufacturing repairs using the NCR/RMA database.
Analyses RMA units and enters RCA data into database
Quality Control backup in Manufacturing.
Effectively uses common electronic instruments and tools
Uses Microsoft Office®, company ERP system software, wiki and database software.
Ensure daily, weekly, monthly 5S requirements for the role are completed as required
Collect, report and strive to achieve targets for any requested metrics in operations
Annually set and work towards individual goals and targets which align to those of Operations and the company
Contribute ideas, lead and/or participate in improvement projects including but not limited to: Quick Kaizens, Kaizen events, VSM events, etc.
Helps operations with productivity and process improvements ie. Standard work, time studies, savings calculations, etc.
Assists when needed with shipping of finished product and receiving raw material in the warehouse

Required Qualifications
Electronic Engineering Degree or Diploma or and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Competencies
· At least two years of relevant experience; demonstrated hands-on ability with tools ie. soldering iron, oscilloscope, multimeter, power hand tools, etc.
· Reads and interprets schematics.
· Experienced soldering various types of SMT and PTH components

Pay Range:
