The Engineering Systems Specialist – Exterior / Interior works within the Quality Engineering department at the Honda Canada National Office (HCI). The foremost responsibility of this position is to drive continuous quality improvement for the Canadian automotive market. As a specialist in exterior and interior systems, this role primarily focuses on areas such as body panels, paint, corrosion, glass, weld, lighting, interior surfaces, seats, HVAC, etc.RESPONSIBILITIES : QUALIFICATIONS : 3 years of automotive or related experience combined with strong project management capability.Experience with metal and plastics manufacturing including a good understanding of stamping, welding, and injection molding processes.Skilled in analyzing parts for the purpose of determining cause of failure.Knowledge of paint / e-coat processes and impact to corrosion resistance.Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting including understanding of electrical drawings. Demonstrated hands-on experience with vehicle repair / problem diagnosis from prior work experience.Proven interest and ability to learn new vehicle technologies.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing technical documents. Experience in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.Strong analytical, planning, organization, and strategic skills.CAD annually.
