Job Description
As part of our continued growth, AECOM has an opportunity for an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer. This role can be based out of any AECOM office in Alberta, Manitoba or Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in delivering conceptual, preliminary and detailed design phases, construction services in utility, mining, Industrial and / or municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. They will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deliver advanced water and wastewater treatment facilities, transmission and distribution, renewables and large mining projects to our clients based in Western Canada and the USA.
Responsibilities
- Design of electrical power and distribution systems, lighting, grounding and control systems
- Design and supervise production of drawings and specifications for complete electrical and automation systems including single line diagram, AC / DC schematics, field and panel control devices and SCADA for various processes including water / wastewater treatment, utility and mining applications.
- Design experience with MV / HV substation protection and control systems philosophy, switchyard physical design including MV / HV equipment and structure, cable trench and grounding layout.
- Strictly adhere to AECOM's project and Quality standards, including capability of learning and adopting clients' standard and requirements upon request
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical aspect on project documentation produced in accordance with AECOM QA / QC procedures and the clients' standards.
- Ensure that project deliverables are produced in a timely manner to expected quality and allocated budget.
- Work with Construction Contract Administrator to review Shop Drawings, prepare and issue responses to contractor queries.
- Perform site inspections and issue inspection reports, issue Field Instructions and Field Orders, and prepare deficiency reports.
- Provide technical support through all phases of the project.
- Understands the importance of meeting schedules, deadlines and good time management.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $73,000.00 - $100,000.00.
