About the role :
As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our Rippling payroll operations for our clients located across Canada, ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance across multiple businesses. Your expertise will help drive efficiency and make payroll smooth and stress-free for our client portfolio.
You’ll join a remote-first, detail-driven team with a passion for streamlining operations, solving payroll challenges, and making an impact on the employee experience for our clients.
This role is a part-time, 6-month contract opportunity with the potential of extension.
Compensation : $29-$34 / hour
What you’ll do :
- Oversee and lead the end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients within Canada
- Work closely with client stakeholders to align payroll processes with broader business objectives, integrating payroll data with benefits, compensation, and reporting systems within Rippling
- Stay up-to-date on provincial and federal payroll regulations, tax requirements, and industry best practices, ensuring payroll operations meet legal and organizational standards
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, and handle escalated payroll inquiries with a solutions-focused approach
- Research and identify opportunities for process improvements, implement automation where possible, and maintain payroll systems to enhance efficiency
- Prepare payroll reports, support internal audits, and ensure data integrity across payroll records
- Provide guidance to client stakeholders on best practices, policies, and Rippling system navigation
