Job description

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an experienced project architect. This position would lead project execution teams focused on delivering architectural services for federal defense and / or laboratory projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members; and working closely with clients and contractor / developer design / build partners. Assist Project Manager with pursuing projects; coordinating and leading project teams; building and maintaining strong client relationships; developing and executing project workplans; scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings; developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have the following :

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Current architectural license in the state office is located

A valid driver's license is required.

The ideal candidate will have any / all of the following :

  • Experience preparing deliverables for each stage of project development for federal defense or laboratory facilities
  • Experience providing bidding and construction administration phase services for federal defense or laboratory facilities
  • Experience leading architectural services for other federal agency project types
  • LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
  • NCARB-Certified
  • Experience leading architectural services for aviation facilities projects is a plus

    Salary Range : $90,000 to $128,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as : experience, skill set or location.
