The philosophy of our design team in Atlantic Canada is rooted in the rich social and cultural mosaic of the east coast. The A49 Atlantic region is well-versed at working within our community impact sectors. With over 40 staff, the success of the region is a result of a depth of expertise that spans across public and private environments throughout Atlantic Canada. Headquartered in Halifax, we have committed ourselves to a full-service regional presence with specializations in patient-centered healthcare design, innovative and award-winning educational spaces, and vibrant sports and entertainment venues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and travel to conduct site visits throughout Atlantic Canada, attend site meetings, oversee site activities and provide quality control
  • Assisting with project progress and site reports
  • Assist with shop drawings, answering Contractor requests for information and issuing contract changes
  • Assist with quality control / constructability reviews on drawings and specifications
  • Collaborating and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

  • 1-5+ years’ experience with a focus on the construction phase of projects
  • Sound technical and building envelope knowledge, strong understanding of codes, and familiarity with Nova Scotia construction practices
  • Recognized credentials from a construction contract administration course or other equivalent training considered an asset
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam and Adobe Reader
