Description
: (English Version)We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician to provide on-site IT and OT support at our Bromont facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial environments, automation systems, and IT technologies applied to operations. This role is key to maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving both IT and OT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for IT and OT systems (Production Equipment’s).
- Respond to support requests, resolve incidents, and follow up on tickets.
- Interface with employees in person, by phone, via ticketing system or Microsoft Teams.
- Troubleshoot production equipment, personal computers, printers, mobile phones, system access, IP telephony, applications, data, network, security, virus detection, etc.
- Participate in projects such as workstation upgrades, application deployment, or facility moves.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain systems and software.
- Ensure data security and access management, including user authentication and network security.
- Analyze needs, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
- Document procedures and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Follow change management procedures and processes.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives from the IT Security team.
- Provide user training.
Requirements:
- College diploma (DEC) or vocational diploma (DEP) in IT.
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role or recent graduate with strong IT knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in Windows systems; Linux (an asset).
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments and operational technology (OT).
- Experience with security systems, backup, replication, PowerShell scripting, IP telephony (Cisco).
- Structured, autonomous, methodical, able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work during holidays, outside regular hours, and for 24/7 support (rotation).
- Strong command of English.
