Job description

We’re seeking Security to join us at The Dusty Boot! The Dusty Boot Saloon & Dance Hall, the home of fancy cocktails, cold beer, western grub and live music in downtown Banff. A dressed-up saloon in a dressed-down cocktail lounge featuring weathered wood, warm leather, the glow of neon, and the sweet sound of boots on the dance floor. Bar games, cowboy karaoke, billiards and a chef-driven menu (served until 10pm). Saddle up and settle in. Must be whisky drinking age, 18+. Want to know more? Our Security team ensures every guest and team member feels safe while enjoying the venue. They monitor the floor, manage crowd flow, handle incidents calmly and professionally, and support staff in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment. Strong communication skills, vigilance, and a calm, confident presence are key to this role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet guests
  • Check IDs and enforce all AGLC guidelines
  • Ensure the safety of guests, staff, and venue
  • De-escalate conflicts
  • Exhibit duty of care

What You Have:

  • Experience in a nightclub or hospitality environment (preferred)
  • ProServe, ProTect, and First-Aid & CPR certifications required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
