Position Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team. In this role, the NP will utilize their full scope of practice to assess and determine the plan of care for patients in various clinical settings, including inpatient, long-term care, and community environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The NP will also play an essential liaison role, working with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals for assessments, follow-up care, and discharge planning activities.
Position Requirements :
- Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in the Extended Class.
- Member of NPAO with additional professional liability coverage.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable to the setting).
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in working independently with a high degree of self-direction and strong organizational skills.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience (specific experience may vary depending on the setting).
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), including conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong ability to work effectively as a member of an interprofessional team.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills; familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner) is an asset.
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education and skill development.
