Wild Rose School Division requires A FULL TIME KINDERGARTEN TEACHER ForAurora Elementary School in Drayton Valley, Alberta Applications are invited for a Full Time Kindergarten Teacher. Aurora Elementary School is seeking a Temporary full time kindergarten teacher. Experience and knowledge in cross-curricular learning, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning will be considered valuable assets. Our Early Education Programs are child centered, emphasizing play and customizing learning to suit each childs developmental milestones. Preferred start date will be February 14, 2025, and is expected to continue for approximately three months. Aurora Elementary is a PreK-4 school situated in Drayton Valley, approximately 100 km southwest of Edmonton. Our school serves a community of around 370 students. We are equipped with a sensory room designed for student wellness, as well as flexible learning spaces. Our educational approach emphasizes positive behaviors through the Aurora Way. We offer a variety of special programs, including annual concerts, choirs, a drum club, a recorder club, cultural performances, daily physical education, intramurals, and targeted instructional groups. Additionally, students benefit from access to free healthy lunches and snacks, with an option for a paid hot lunch program. A complete package will include cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single Google or pdf document. The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
