About Moment Energy

Moment Energy is a cleantech startup with a team of passionate innovators revolutionizing the energy storage industry. Founded by four tech entrepreneurs, our mission is to provide worldwide access to clean, reliable, and affordable power. How do we do it? By repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries into state-of-the-art battery energy storage systems, giving these powerful resources a second life and a lasting impact.

Our vision goes beyond sustainability; it's about driving meaningful change. As one of the Top 100 Global Cleantech Companies of 2023, we've forged relationships with automakers like Mercedes-Benz Energy and Nissan North America to accelerate the global transition to a greener future. With Series A funding secured and support from the U.S. Department of Energy to build a gigafactory, we're on the cusp of scaling our groundbreaking solutions to redefine the energy landscape and create a cleaner, brighter tomorrow.

We're a fast-paced and dynamic team.

Every day you'll be taking on a new challenge and learning something new. You'll take on a wide breadth of tasks and contribute to disrupting the battery industry. You'll be part of a tight-knit team that is working together to save the planet! Your proven expertise in surface mount soldering, PCB rework, and harness building will be critical in accelerating our product development and directly supporting our mission to provide clean, reliable, and affordable power. This is a crucial role for a self-starter who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced cleantech environment.

  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware during the prototyping phase.
  • The Candidate

We're looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences :

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics, R&D, or other relatable technician trade.
  • Demonstrated expert proficiency in surface mount technology soldering, repair, and rework.
  • Proven experience in building and troubleshooting custom electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies using appropriate crimping and tooling techniques.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Foundational understanding of basic electrical engineering principles and lab safety practices.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • Experience with BESS or lithium-ion battery applications.
  • Experience operating and maintaining power test equipment (e.g., power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMMs).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Why join us?

  • Collaborate closely with passionate co-founders and a team committed to innovation and excellence.
  • Contribute to building and scaling a company from the ground up, where your work will have a direct and meaningful impact.
  • Enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow.
  • Thrive in a workplace that values collaboration, wellness, and celebrating successes, with regular company socials, fitness sessions, and more.
