Job Overview
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Supply Inspection Technologist.
Reporting to the Supervisor Supply Inspection, this position is responsible for conducting source surveillance activities at supplier locations, including sub-tier suppliers. Surveillance / inspection programs are key to the overall effort of achieving and maintaining excellence in operational performance and equipment reliability.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform source surveillance and receiving inspection activities on manufacturers to ensure vendor compliance with contract specifications and assess trends.
- Review, evaluate, and contribute to the preparation of Source Surveillance or Receiving Inspection plans.
- Perform Source Surveillance product verification, recommend modifications, and witness tests at Suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Assess vendors' quality programs, influence corrective actions for non-conformances, and participate in quality audits.
- Verify regulatory approvals for engineered products and equipment.
- Perform receiving inspection of equipment and material at the nuclear site, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, and record inspection results.
