What You'll Do

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination and delivery of assigned projects. The Project Manager ensures that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and meeting the required scope and quality specifications. This role is responsible to continuously communicate with and manage expectations of clients and other project stakeholders. As a project leader during the entire lifecycle of a project, the Project Manager is accountable to provide routine project progress and ad hoc reports to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Initiate project setup following award and estimate handoff, ensuring appropriate team structure, budget alignment, documentation, and systems are in place to support an effective project kick-off.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project execution plan, including milestone schedules, critical path analysis, allocate and manage resources, and apply risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely achievement of project deliverables.
  • Administer project changes in accordance with established change management procedures. Ensure all scope, schedule, and cost impacts are documented, approved, and clearly communicated to the Client and project team.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including the project execution plan, risk register, schedule, health and safety plan, quality plan, and all Rising Edge mandated documentation.
  • Monitor and control project financial performance, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and alignment of man-hour projections with actual performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project requirements.
  • Ensure timely processing and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable to support project cash flow management.
  • Provide consistent and accurate project reporting and communication across all parties such as Clients and internal stakeholders to lead project meetings, including kick-offs, progress updates, change order reviews, recovery planning sessions, and lessons learned discussions.
  • Maintain continuous oversight of project safety and environmental compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Identify and secure appropriate project staffing resources, including specialty consultants and subcontractors. Establish clear performance expectations and accountability to support successful project delivery.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including documentation completion, financial reconciliation, and post-project evaluations. Conduct post-mortem reviews to identify performance gaps and implement continuous improvement recommendations.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Technologist or a related field required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent required??
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience managing medium to large full cycle construction projects required
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team in a dynamic, dead-line oriented environment are an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, HardDollar(InEight) and ViewPoint Construction Software preferred
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
