Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter

We are currently seeking an experienced SKilled Labourer / Apprentice Carpenter with a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to assist in the construction of a multifamily project in the Lethbridge region.
As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative solutions to ensure the successful construction of our commercial and residential properties.
Summary
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management of a large multifamily build, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.
Responsibilities
- Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites
- Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtrades
- Oversight of subtrade work
- Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies
- Perform frame checks and mechanical checks
- Finish carpentry work
- Quality management inspections and reporting
- Report issues as they arise to the superintendent
- Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun
- Mentor novice workers
- Other tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendent
